The National Neonatology Forum (NNF) is one of India’s leading professional organizations dedicated to the care and well-being of newborn babies, especially critically ill and premature infants. Established in 1980, the forum was formed by a group of pioneering pediatricians and neonatologists with the aim of improving neonatal healthcare standards across the country. NNF is recognized as a strong professional body with more than 10,000 members across India and abroad. It has also supported the development of facility-based newborn care programs and accreditation systems for NICUs in India. These efforts have helped establish better infrastructure and trained manpower for neonatal healthcare services nationwide.
The organization regularly conducts conferences, workshops, webinars, fellowship programs, and academic events such as NEOCON and neonatal quiz competitions. These programs provide continuous medical education and help doctors stay updated with the latest advancements in neonatology.
